Day 1: SisterGiant

Thank you Marianne Williamson for your vision.  Thank you 1000(+online) for your presence.  Thank you Jean Houston for you making our human myth real:

"you all have new duties on this earth you women, the men are not doing very well. together you will grow a new nest and a nest of nest - the grandmother spirits will help you - you must work and pray and you must remember what the men have forgotten, how to have a society without palm wine, you women stop cutting the rose buds and you white women stop cutting off your souls, you take your souls back..."

"forget everything I've told you over the last 6 years about working with bureaucracies, I'm an anthropologist with no hierarchies - govts will not be prepared for the fast changing world - laughter, fun, humor, good food, body-mind-spirit -with this, they will choose projects to improve their world - must develop individual human to have developed human world..."

Friday: November 9, 2012: Feminine Power

A day of gathering to begin to find our voices.  Thank you Katherine and Claire for the sponsorship.  What spoke to me most was the reference to this article:
Women find their voices at 60%.  I can no longer remain mute, in my trance of political ignorance.  Thank you for the push.  What excited me most?  Lauren Frances and Aphrodite Love!  Overall take away?  WATCH OUT here we come ;) - and for the naysayers: "Cynicism is just an excuse for not acting."

As I was beginning to prepare this post, a beautiful production on Hawaii PBS asked for my entire attention.  The production was an exchange with poet W.S. Merwin.  A few lingering words, that remain thoughts for me:

Merwin: "I'd rather be putting life back into the earth rather than taking life from it." (as the camera pans  his wife and him in their prolific garden)

Wife Paula: "He needs wide margins." (in reference to solitude and existing in places for creative spaces)
